COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND CURRATORIAL WORK

2014 to present - Grinning Moon ZINE Archive and Library. A public-facing collection of zines, independent comics, niche publications, and artists’ ephemera. Online and Physical.

2021 to 2023 - SPUKHAUS, an annual halloween-themed immersive art exhibition showcasing interactive artworks by VCUarts students at the Anderson Gallery. This open-to-the-public event attracts about 800+ guests each year. I collaborated with six other VCUarts faculty and staff members to design, curate, and manage this awesome art exhibition.

2023 and 2024 - AFO Annual Student Art Show, an annual art exhibition and awards ceremony for select VCUarts Art Foundation students to showcase their art work and academic achievements. I collaborated with three other VCUarts faculty members to jury, curate, and manage this public-facing art event.

2014 to 2016 - Community Room RVA. Cofounded with Ray Ludwig, this organization was dedicated to giving performance artists a place to share their work in the form of one-night-only pop up art events. I collaborated with my cofounder to market, curate, and manage 11 live art events.

TEACHING AND EDUCATION

2021 to present - Visual Arts Center of Richmond. Teaching adults and youth 2D focused art classes in classroom, one-on-one, workshop, and multi-week class settings. Additionally, I teach arts and crafts to adults with physical and mental disabilities through Vis Arts’ partnership with the Sheltering Arms Institute.

2025 - Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Studio School. Teaching adults 2D focused art classes in multiweek classroom settings.

2024 to present - Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Art in the Garden. Teaching adults nature-inspired visual art classes in workshop settings.

2024 to present - Studio Two Three. Teaching adults printmaking-focused visual art classes in workshop settings.

2021 - 2024 - Virginia Commonwealth University, School of the Arts, Art Foundation Department. Taught 1st year college students drawing and design via semester-long courses as an adjunct and associate professor. Additional responsibilities included service on the Admissions Committee and the Student Engagement Committee.

2019 - 2021 - La Jolla Country Day School. Taught 9th - 12th grader students in art and art history classes. Additional responsibilities included mentoring an Advisory of 15 students and facilitating afterschool clubs.
